Skieresz dominated collegiate distance running in the late 1990s, winning a pair of NCAA doubles in the 5,000 and 10,000 twice, in 1997 and 1998.

At the 1997 NCAA meet in Indianapolis, Skieresz won the 10,000 in 33:14.22. The following year, in Buffalo, she won the national title in 33:04.12. Both times, she doubled back to win the 5,000. She also won the NCAA cross country title in 1996.

Her prowess as a runner earned her two Honda Awards in one year -- the 1996-97 honor for cross country and the 1997 honor for track and field. A year later, she claimed the Honda Award again for track and field. One other UA star -- softball pitcher Jennie Finch -- was a two-time Honda Award winner, in 2001 and 2002.

Skieresz was four-time Pac-10 champion in cross country and a three-time league titlist, in the 3,000 and 5,000 (twice). Between the two sports she earned 10 All-America honors.

She retired from competition in 2000 and is married to former Arkansas standout distance runner Ryan Wilson. Skieresz-Wilson joined the Arizona coaching staff in 2004 to assist James Li with the distance runners.

She joins a group of other UA standouts named to an NCAA anniversary team heralding the 25 years of Division I competition for women. Earlier this spring, UA softball players Jennie Finch, Leah Braatz, Leah O'Brien-Amico and coach Mike Candrea were named to the NCAA Softball 25th anniversary team for their performances in Championship play.
