Arizona women’s soccer begins the season ranked at No. 12 in the West Region by Soccer Buzz Magazine. Nationally, the team received votes in the preseason poll but was not a part of the top 30. The Wildcats ended last season ranked 24^th in the nation and 10^th in the West Region.

Seven of Arizona’s opponents this season received preseason rankings, including four Pac-10 teams. UCLA is the preseason favorite after claiming the No. 1 ranking.
