Jack Murphy Biography
Now in his ninth year with the program, Jack Murphy assumed the duties of director of basketball operations on Aug. 21, 2006.
Murphy handles the daily office operations and also coordinates team travel. He assists with the program’s community outreach efforts, and handles many duties for Lute Olson’s summer basketball camps.
Prior to accepting this new role, Murphy headed the program’s video scouting department. He was responsible for UA’s video room and assisted in film editing and exchange, as designated by the coaching staff. Murphy will continue to oversee these areas in his current position, but will not have an on-court coaching presence with the team in practice or game situations.
This position allows Murphy to continue working with the Wildcats for the 2006-07 season. He is director of the Lute Olson Elite Camp, a three-day event held each June in

Murphy, 27, received his bachelor’s degree in English, with an emphasis on American Literature, from
When not around the basketball court, Murphy is an avid sports fan and music enthusiast. His favorites include the Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Mariners and Bob Dylan. Murphy has had the pleasure of seeing Dylan a whopping 37 times in person and is always looking toward future performances.
