TUCSON--Top-rated defensive end Louis Holmes, whose mid-year enrollment at the University of Arizona was stalled, will join the team for practice tonight on the second day of fall training camp.
"I've waited a long time for this," the 6-foot-6, 270-pound All-American said.
Holmes was among those student-athletes whose promise helped UA's recruiting class reach Top 20 rankings this past spring. Originally scheduled to enroll in January, he has been in Tucson completing final admission requirements. He has been unable to train or participate in any voluntary team workouts.
