Scott MacKenzie has held a number of positions since joining the department in 1994, including Associate Athletics Director for Marketing & Development, Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Corporate Sales, Director of Marketing, Assistant Director of Marketing and Marketing Intern.
In his current role as Associate Athletics Director for External Operations, MacKenzie oversees the Marketing, Development, Ticket Office, Media Relations and Event Operations & Facilities areas. During his time at Arizona MacKenzie has worked closely with UA students to promote Arizona Athletics, assisting with the formation of the UA Sports Marketing Association and the Zona Zoo Spirit Club.
Prior to joining the UA, MacKenzie worked in the athletic departments at the University of Miami and the University of Colorado. He received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Montana and a master's in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University in Miami, Fla.
MacKenzie volunteers as a Big Brother, serves on the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson board of directors and is an active member of The Centurions. He is married to Kimberly Clements.
