TUCSON, Ariz. - University of Arizona womenˇ?s golfer Mary Jacobs remained in the top 10 after the second round of play Wednesday at the World University Games in Bangkok, Thailand.
Jacobs, a senior-to-be from Godfrey, Ill., shot a seven-over-par 79 Wednesday and stands in a tie for 10th place after 36 holes with a two-round total of 155 (+11). She is one of two U.S. players in the eventˇ?s top-10 places.
Jacobs and her U.S. teammates will tee off at 7:50 a.m. UTC for tomorrowˇ?s thirdd round (14 hours ahead of PDT). The 72-hole competition continues through Friday. It is being held at the Water Mill Golf & Gardens Course, a par-72 layout.
Great Britain and Ireland share the lead in the womenˇ?s field at 302, while the U.S. women sit in sixth place with a two-day team total of 309.
