TUCSON, Ariz. ?C The University of Arizona menˇ?s golf team begins play Friday at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate in Albuquerque, N.M.
The 16-team event, now in its 53rd year, is hosted by the University of New Mexico and is scheduled for Friday-Saturday, Sept. 14-15, at the UNM Championship Course, a par-72, 7,350-yard layout. The 54-hole event features 36 holes following a 7:30 a.m. MDT shotgun start on Friday. Saturdayˇ?s 18-hole final round will begin with 7:30 a.m. tee times.
In addition to Arizona, the field includes Brigham Young, Campbell, Colorado, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Ohio State, Pepperdine, Sam Houston State, San Diego State, Texas-El Paso, Tulsa, Utah, Wyoming and Xavier.
The following players are scheduled to compete for Arizona: Tyler Neal, Creighton Honeck, Andrew Kelly, Tarquin MacManus, Roberto Galletti, Nicholas Park, and Trey Denton. Two of those players will compete as individuals.
