Six University of Arizona football players earned Pac-10 All-Academic Football Team honors today, including repeat first-team selection Jason Bondzio, the Wildcats' place kicker.
Bondzio, a graduate student with a 3.72 grade point average in management, was also a first-team pick in 2007 as a finance major.
Wildcats earning second-team honors included redshirt freshman receiver David Roberts (3.34, engineering), senior offensive tackle James Tretheway (3.39 economics), junior H-back/tight end Chris Gronkowski (3.27, accounting) and junior defensive back Corey Hall (3.18, accounting). Hall earned first-team honors as a junior with a 3.43 GPA.
Arizona had three first-team selections last year -- Hall, linebacker Spencer Larsen and Bondzio, with Baxter, Peter Graniello and A.J. Simmons earning honorable mention citations.
