TUCSON , Ariz. ?C The University of Arizona finished in 12th place Friday at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate in Schofield Barracks, Oˇ?ahu, Hawaii.

The Wildcats posted a one-over 289 Friday, its worst round of the event, to finish with a three round total of 850 (-14).? UA managed just one under-par round individually during the final round.? Auburn won the event with a 44-under 820 tally, easily outdistancing Texas A&M (831), UNLV (832), San Diego State (835) and SMU (841).

As was the case the entire event, Arizonaˇ?s Tarquin MacManus led the Wildcats.? The freshman carded a final-round 73 and finished in a tie for 10th place at eight-under 208, which was his low tournament total this season.? It was his third top-10 finish of the season.? MacManus finished behind Californiaˇ?s Stephen Hale, who claimed individual medalist honors at 15-under 201.

Senior Creighton Honeck carded an even-par 72 and finished in a tie for 27th place at five-under 211.? He finished the day four strokes ahead of teammate Roberto Galletti, who tied for 50th place at one-under 215.? Gallettiˇ?s final-round 71 was UAˇ?s only under-par score of the day.

Tyler Neal tied for 54th place at even-par 216, while Nicholas Park tied for 98th place at 11-over 227.

The 54-hole John A. Burns Intercollegiate was contested at Leilehua Golf Course, a par 72, 6,917-yard layout. ?The Wildcats will next be in action, March 7-9, at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship in Las Vegas, Nev.
