TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Arizona women's golf team was ranked 13th in the Golf World magazine/National Golf Coaches Association preseason Coaches' Poll, the NGCA announced Wednesday.
Arizona received 283 points in the debut poll of the 2008-09 season, which was enough to place the Wildcats in the preseason top-15 spots. UA was one of six Pac-10 schools included in the listing. USC (625 points) topped the poll, while UCLA (615), Duke (609), Arizona State (586) and Oklahoma State (453) rounded out the top-five places.
The Wildcat women open the 2008-09 season, Sept. 26-28, at the Mason Rudolph Championships in Nashville, Tenn.
