TUCSON, Ariz. - When it comes to the National Basketball Association Draft, no school's name is called more often than the University of Arizona.

Since the NBA draft was shortened to two rounds in 1989, Arizona leads the nation with 31 selections in that span. That figure amounts to half of the 62 players in Arizona history to be drafted by NBA organizations.

Most NBA Draft Choices since 1989

Jordan Hill and Chase Budinger continued the trend last night as both were selected by NBA clubs. Hill was selected in the first round (eighth overall) by the New York Knicks, while Budinger was a second-round selection of the Detroit Pistons (44th overall) who later had his rights traded to Houston.

Of the 31 Wildcats picked in the last 21 years, 14 have been first-round selections.
