TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Arizona Athletics Department announced it has finalized an agreement with FOX Sports Arizona to provide comprehensive coverage of Wildcat sports. The renewal of the decade-long partnership with FOX Sports Arizona completes an effort by the University and its multimedia partner, IMG College, to maximize exposure of Arizona sports with Wildcat fans nationwide.

FOX Sports Arizona and the nationally distributed FOX College Sports (FCS), will combine to provide Wildcat programming to more than 2.8 million homes in the states of Arizona and New Mexico and more than six million nationwide. FOX College Sports is a set of three national college sports cable networks - FCS Pacific, FCS Central and FCS Atlantic - that provides 72 hours of college sports programming each day. FOX Sports Arizona's telecasts will also be available nationally to viewers who have the requisite sports packages on DIRECTV and DISH.

This additional package of games bolsters FOX Sports Arizona's existing University of Arizona offerings that result from FSN's national television agreement with the Pac-10. Depending on the outcome of the television selection process, FOX Sports Arizona's total Wildcat offerings could include up to six football games and as many as 20 men's basketball games this season.

"As our broadcast offerings continue to evolve, our goal is to help connect as many Arizona fans as possible to Wildcat Sports," said Tom Stultz, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, IMG College. "With our television, digital, and radio access to broadcasts, we will provide Wildcat fans everywhere with the ability to share in the excitement of Arizona sports."

"FOX Sports Arizona is proud to continue as the home of University of Arizona athletics," said Michael Connelly, senior vice president and general manager FOX Sports Arizona. "Our ability to reach fans in the state and across the country through our various FOX networks will provide the most local television coverage for Wildcat sports."

"We are pleased to renew our long-term partnership with FOX Sports Arizona and look forward to their assistance in delivering Arizona sports to our great Wildcat fans across the region and around the country," stated Jim Livengood, University of Arizona Athletics Director.

Wildcat game broadcasts begin Sept. 5 with the Arizona football home opener against Central Michigan at 7 p.m. PDT. That contest will appear live on the CW in Tucson and on KAZT-TV (AZTV-7) in Phoenix, and tape-delayed on KGUN and FOX Sports Arizona (11 p.m. PDT). The game also is available online at Arizonawildcats.com.

Other football broadcasts include the Sept. 12 home game vs. Northern Arizona, which will air as a tape-delayed telecast on KGUN (10:35 p.m.) and FOX Sports Arizona (10:45 p.m.) because the 7 p.m. start time falls in a Pac-10-protected time window. ABC or ESPN2 will air live the Sept. 19 game at Iowa, while the Dec. 5 game at USC will air live on ABC.

Additional football games are still under consideration for telecast selections by current Pac-10 broadcast partners. More information regarding future broadcasts of football and men's basketball games will be announced when available.
