TUCSON -- Arizona Softball will begin the 2010 season at No. 4 on the preseason poll released by ESPN.com/USA Softball on Tuesday.
In addition, the USA Today/NFCA poll placed the Cats at No. 6 on its preseason list.
The ESPN.com/USA Today mark is the highest ranking in either poll for the Wildcats since the 2008 team began the season ranked No. 1.
The Pac-10 dominated the polls, placing six of its eight teams in the Top 12 on both lists. Defending NCAA Champion Washington is listed at No. 1 in both polls, and Arizona State, UCLA and Stanford are all in the Top 10.
Up Next: Arizona begins the season at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz. on Feb. 12.
