TUCSON - University of Arizona Wildcat women's golf head coach
Laura Ianello has announced the addition of Manon Gidali for the 2012 season. Gidali joins the squad as a true freshman from Paris, France.
A native of Paris, France and a graduate of Notre Dame de Boulogne, Gidali has been competing in golf for 11 years. She was a member of the European Team Champions, was the French U-18 Champion, finished second as an individual at the European Championships and was a finalist at the Esmond Cup.
Gidali plans to major in business and marketing to pursue a career in economics. She was also recruited by Arizona State, USC and TCU.
Arizona will officially open the 2012 season with the hosting of the Wildcat Invitational, Feb. 5-7, at the Golf Club at Vistoso.
