Pac-12 All-Academic Teams
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Sophomore outfielder Johnny Field, the Most Outstanding Player at last weekend's Tucson Regional, has been named a second team Pac-12 All-Academic selection as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Field, who finished the regular season as the Pac-12 batting champion, earns second team all-academic distinction with a 3.57 grade point average. The sophomore has yet to declare a major.
Several other Wildcats were recognized as honorable mention selections, including junior pitcher Augey Bill, sophomore first baseman Brandon Dixon, junior pitcher Vincent Littleman and junior third baseman Seth Mejias-Brean.
Arizona will host the Tucson Super Regional this weekend (June 8-10) against St. John's at Hi Corbett Field, beginning on Friday at noon (MST). The winner of the best-of-three series advances to the College World Series.
