Lettered in football (1946, 1947), basketball (1946, 1947, 1948) and baseball (1946, 1947, 1948). Named All- Border Conference and third team all-American in football in 1947 as a quarterback, and set an Arizona total offense record of 2,973 yards. Played professional football from 1948-1954. Played on three conference championship basketball teams.
