Transferred to Arizona from Pima College in 1985, in time to earn All America, All Central Region and All Six Pac honors as the outstanding pitcher on UA's 1986 NCAA Championship team. Was all Six Pac in 1987. Despite being at Arizona only two years is ninth on UA career lists in wins and fifth in games started. For a season, ranks first in games started and second in wins with 16, which tied school record at the time. Signed professionally with the Montreal Expos following senior season.
