Arizona's first basketball all-America, being named in 1951 third team all-America squad by The Sporting News and Helms Foundation after leading Wildcats to berths in NCAA and NIT post-season tournaments. Also twice won all-America honors in baseball - second team 1951, and third team 1952. First UA basketball player to score more than 1,000 points during a three-year career, totaling 1,046.
