First full-time sports information director at the UA, a post he held for 20 years (1959-79). Was president of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for 1961-62, was CoSIDA's Sports information Director of the Year in 1978 and was inducted as a charter member of CoSIDA's Hall of Fame in 1970. Was also a member of the NCAA public relations committee from 1961-67. During his tenure at the UA, 59 football players were selected to play in post-season all-star games. His 1977 and 1978 UA basketball programs were judged by CoSIDA as the best in the country, and the 1976 football program was selected third. He was named an honorary Bobcat, an honorary letterman and an honorary alumnus.
