In 1983, broke up 17 passes (2nd on U of A season list). Was Pac-10 Player of the Week and 2nd Team All Pac-10 in 1983. At time of induction had been with the NFL Denver Broncos for seven years (tied for longest NFL tenure by a U of A alumnus) and played on three Super Bowls.
