He was two-time All-American (1990 and 1991) and an All-Pac-10 Conference selection three times (1989,1990, and 1991). He won both the Arizona and New Mexico Amateur Championship in 1990, and in his senior season, he was the individual champion of the W.H. Tucker Invitational and the Fresno Lexus Classic. A model of consistency for The University of Arizona Men's Golf Team, he helped the Wildcats capture the 1991 NCAA Regional Championship.
