Arizona Is No.22 In Latest Directors' Cup Standings

 TUCSON -  The University of Arizona men's and women's athletic program sits in 22nd place in the latest rankings of the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup Division I standings. It was released on Thursday.

The Wildcats have a total of 262.50 points, which is the fifth-best score among Pac-12 schools. Six schools from the Pac-12 Conference are in the top-25. Oregon is No. 1 (506.75 points), Stanford is No. 3 (441.50 points), UCLA is No. 7 (412.50 points), Colorado is No. 19 (287.50 points) and Washington is No. 23 (262 points).

The women's track and field program earned a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, tallying 71.25 points toward the Arizona total. Each of the five Wildcats that competed in the event on the women's side earned All-America honors. Senior Brigetta Barrett won her third-straight high jump title, the lone individual championship from the group. Senior Julie Labonté and junior Alyssa Hasslen took third and fourth place in the women's shot put, respectively. Senior Georganne Moline finished in fifth place in the women's 400-meter run. Senior Jen Bergman took 10th place in the women's 5,000-meter race, good for second-team All-America honors.

The men's track and field team took sixth place at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, adding 72.75 points to the UA score. Junior Edgar Rivera-Morales earned a seventh-place finish in the men's high jump, the third-straight year he has earned All-America honors.
