2004 (Sophomore): Returns to the Wildcats as one of the nation's top distance runners... Expected to once again be a strong contender at the national level in both cross country and track... Will join the cross country team as a true freshman after enrolling at UA in the spring semester... 2003 (Freshman): Had an outstanding freshman season... Broke the school's freshman 5,000 meters record with a time of 13:45.88 seconds... Finished second in the 5,000m at the Pac-10 Championship and third at the NCAA Outdoor Championships... Had season's best times of 13:45.88 in the 5,000m, 1:50.87 in the 800m and 3:45.61 in the 1,500m.

Has three brothers (William Cheseret, Bernard Lagat and Nathan Lagat) and six sisters (Anjaiina Chepchumba, Mary Lagat, Tecia Letting, Everlyne Lagat, Irene Jebet and Violah Jebtoo)... His brother, Bernard, was the bronze medalist at the 2000 Olympics and silver medalist at the 2001 World Championships in the 1,500m... His sister, Everlyne, is a distance runner at the University of Toledo... Pursuing his goal of becoming a professional athlete... Plans to major in engineering or business at Arizona.
