Year at Arizona: First
Mike Chamoures joins the Arizona football staff as an intern, focusing on the defense, for the 2012 season. He comes to Tucson after a stint as a graduate assistant at West Virginia.
He got his start in college football working as a student manager under Rich Rodriguez and Jeff Casteel at West Virginia University from 2007-09. After graduation, he began his coaching career working with the safeties at Western Connecticut State University for the 2009 season.
Chamoures then served as the defensive graduate assistant under Casteel at West Virginia. Working with the linebackers and special teams, he was a member of the staff for the 2010 and 2011 seasons.
Chamoures holds an undergraduate degree in athletic coaching education from West Virginia (2009). He went on to earn his master's degree in athletic coaching, also from West Virginia, in 2012. He played high school football at New Fairfield in Connecticut.
