Arizona: 1L... Scott moved to defensive back in spring 2004 camp along with Brent Bolden in a switch coaches wanted to make to see their abilities as defenders... Missed much of the 2003 season with a non-football related illness... Played in two games (WSU and OSU) at running back and carried six times for 10 yards against the Beavers... Was expected to challenge for a top role in the running back corps entering 2003 fall camp... Played in six games and started at halfback in the UCLA game during the 2002 season... Missed six games during the middle of the season with an ankle injury... Finished his redshirt freshman season with 30 carries for 68 yards, an average of 2.3 yards per carry... Had a career-long run of 15 yards in the UCLA game... Had a career-best 13 carries in the California game... Led the team with eight carries for a career-best 32 yards versus UCLA... Had six carries for 28 yards in the season opener against Northern Arizona... Redshirted for the Wildcats in 2001 and showed promise on the offensive scout team and as a kick returner... His older brother, Yusuf, was a Wildcat All-American in 1998 as an offensive guard and one of UA's linemen of recent years to make it in the NFL... High School: La Porte High School, La Porte, Texas, 2001... Started as a cornerback then switched at mid-season in his sophomore year... Rushed for more than 3,500 yards in his career and earned All-Texas honors his senior year... A PrepStar All-American, rated as the No. 7 Midlands running back, and was All-Southwest by Prep Football Report... Also made the Houston Chronicle's Texas 100 list, as well as the Dallas Morning News' Top 100 and was a two-time all-district pick by Texas coaches.
