Hill joined the UA staff to work exclusively with football in January 2004, coming with Corey Edmond from the University of Oklahoma where he had been an assistant strength coach.

Hill, 26, a native of Lanett, Ala., began his professional career in 2000 with the Sooners and Jerry Schmidt, director of Sports Enhancement at OU.

A three-year starting wide receiver for the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, Hill led the Mocs and was second in the league in receiving in 1998, earning first-team All-Southern Conference honors. He had 53 receptions for 683 yards and two scores. He also returned 12 kickoffs for 279 yards. He finished his career with 100 catches for 1,329 yards.

During his freshman year, his new colleague, UA football strength and conditioning coach Corey Edmond, was the Mocs' strength coach.

Hill earned his degree in sports management from Chattanooga in 1999. He and his wife, the former Alesha Peel, have one son, Markieus (10-3-2003).
