2010: Debut year for Gire - having a solid indoor season. Managed to attain a 5th place finish in the shot putat the MPSF Championships with a personal best throw of 17.01m. Outdoors, Gire threw his best marks at the PAC-10 Championships, placing All-Conference in the shot. Placed 8th in the shot with a throw of 16.44m. Also recorded a personal best throw in the Discus at the Tucson Throwers Elite Classic with a toss of 170' 6''.
