Clearly one of the top newcomers during the 2008 season... Rivera began his UA career with a bang as he set an indoor stadium record in his first meet as a Wildcat at the Blue and Orange Classic in Idaho with his jump of 7.82m in the long jump...Went on to finish the indoor season with a ninth place finish at the NCAA National Indoor Championships...During the outdoor season, Rivera again competed in the NCAA National Championships after finishing in fifth at the West Regional Championships in the long jump...Earned All-Conference honors in both the long and triple jump events...
