Chatfield High School, Littleton, Colo.: Earned four varsity letters in track & field... Named the team captain during his 2003 season... Won the Most Valuable Athlete award in 2002 and 2003... Named to the All-League team in 2002 and 2003... Earned first team all-state honors in 2003 and second team honors in 2002 at Colorado's 5A level... Won the state title in the outdoor 110m and 300m hurdles and in the indoor 60m hurdles... Named to the Rocky Mountain News All-Colorado Team and named Runner of the Year... Also named to the Denver Post All-Colorado Team and Hurdler of the Year... Named to the Academic all-state team... Holds school records in the 110m hurdles, 300m hurdles, 200m dash, 100m dash, 4x400m, 4x100m, 440 yard shuttle hurdles... Has top times of 13.97 in the 100m hurdles, 36.79 in the 300m hurdles (No. 2 time in Colorado history and places him at No. 6 in the nation on DYESTAT), 22.01 in the 200m and 10.74 in 100m... Team was league champions in 2001, 2002 and 2003... Placed third at the 2003 Colorado state championships.
