2004 (Redshirt Freshman): Joins the Wildcat squad with a lot of potential... Expected to make an impact at the conference and national levels... 2003 (Freshman): Sat out the 2003 season, saving a redshirt season... Competing as an unattached athlete, Kuehl threw 174-4 with a 2k discus and 52-10 with a 16-pound shot put... Set personal bests of 190-10 with a 1.75k discus and 57-7 with a 6k shot put... Battled mononucleosis for two months, and then went on to become the Junior National champion in the discus, where he set his PR... Won the silver medal at the Pan Am Junior Games in Bridgetown, Barbados in July.
