ARIZONA
2007: Marshall was the West Regional Champion in triple jump with a
jump of 15.79m, and went on to the NCAA championships in the event,
where he finished 12th. The highlight of Marshall's indoor season was his
first-place finish at the TCR Race Productions Invite, where had set a new
personal best in the triple jump with a 15.76m jump. Also had a secondplace
finish at the MPSF Indoor Championships. Outdoors, Marshall placed
first at the Arizona International, in both the long jump and the triple jump,
as well as first-place finishes in the triple jump at the Jim Click Shootout and
2007 Double Duals. Marshall also excelled during the Pac-10 Championships and at the NCAA Regionals; he qualified for nationals, where he would help earn the Wildcats team points and earn All-American honors. 2006: Marshall competed outdoors for the Wildcats, placing fifth at the Pac-10 Championships in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump. He qualified or the NCAA Championships in the triple jump, where he proceeded to finish 20th overall. Had a season's best jump of 15.69m (51-5 3⁄4), which ranks No. 7 all-time at Arizona. 2005: Marshall's indoor season was highlighted by season's best marks of
15.25m (50-1 1⁄2) in the triple jump and 7.25m (23-9 1⁄2) in the long jump.
Both marks were achieved at the University of Washington's Dempsey
Indoor Facility. Did not compete during the outdoor season, using a redshirt
year. 2004: Had an outstanding rookie season with a number of impressive performances. Placed fourth in the triple jump at the Pac-10 Championships with a leap of 15.52m (50-11), his best mark of the season. That distance ranks No. 7 all
time at Arizona. Had a season's best long jump of 7.03m (23-0).
HIGH SCHOOL
Hamilton High School, Chandler, Ariz.: Earned nine varsity letters in track
& field (four), football (three) and basketball (two). Acted as team captain in 2002 and 2003. Named Most Valuable Athlete in 2002 and 2003. All-Fiesta
region selection three times. Earned all-state honors in 2001, 2002 and 2003
at the 5A level. Two-time 5A state triple jump champion. Named All-
American Scholar Athlete. Holds school records in the long jump (22-9),
triple jump (46-8) and high jump (6-6). Team finished third at the Arizona
track & field state championships in 2001. Placed 10th in the long jump and
eighth in the triple jump at the 2003 USATF Junior Olympics. Named
Hamilton High School's Athlete of the Year in 2003. Named to the all-state
team for football in 2002. Earned all-region honors in basketball in 2002
and 2003. Played on the 2001 5A state runner-up football team. Football
team was the Fiesta Region champs with a 10-0 record in 2003.
