A Penalty System is in place to discourage Zona Zoo members from making a reservation, and not attending that game.
FOOTBALL
New for football during the 2024 season, as reservations are now required, the penalty is as follows:
If a student makes a reservation, but does not scan into the game, that student will not be able to reserve for the next home football game. If that student already has a reservation for the next football game, Arizona Athletics will cancel that reservation.
Students will be able to cancel their reservation until noon (12 pm) on gameday, unless game is an afternoon game, in which deadline is 9 am. If a student makes a reservation, and cancels by the deadline, they will not receive a strike.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
First Offense On the first offense when a Zona Zoo member makes a reservation for a game and then does not attend, a warning will be emailed notifying of the penalty process and the second and third offense penalties.
Second Offense On the second offense when a Zona Zoo member makes a reservation for a game and then does not attend, an email will be sent notifying that he/she will not be able to attend the next series of games following the offense and explaining the penalty for the third offense.
Third Offense On the third offense when a Zona Zoo member makes a reservation for a game and then does not attend, an email will be sent explaining that he/she will not be able to attend the remaining games in the season.
*If a student has extenuating circumstances (death in the family, physical injury, etc.) that prevents him/her from attending a game , and this circumstance can be verified, excuses will be given and penalties waived. This process will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the McKale Ticket Office.
Please include the following information in your request to the McKale Ticket Office:
- Full Name
- Game you are unable to attend
- Extenuating Circumstance for not being able to attend
- Phone # and email address where you can be contacted.
