LAST CHANCE TO JOIN THE WILDCAT MOVEMENT
If you've been debating on whether or not to join the Wildcat Movement by making a tax-deductible donation of $100 or more to Arizona Athletics, we hope you'll decide that now is the opportune time! As we approach the end of our fiscal year on June 30, we need to make a final push to get as many people as possible to become Wildcat Club members by renewing their gifts or making a new donation.
In order to receive your annual giving benefits that come along with being a Wildcat Club member, we have to receive your donation by June 30. You can join today at www.wildcatmovement.com. The only way we can continue to get better as a department is if we have the financial resources to pursue excellence for all of our student-athletes both on and off the playing surface. We are so grateful to our Wildcat Club members who help make our success possible! Thanks!
A HARD EDGE IN THE WILD WEST
Football recently released a new video called "Hard Edge." Coach Rodriguez's wife, Rita, was the brainchild behind the project. With help from Old Tucson Movie Studios, our talented video production and photography team took the idea and ran with it. The next time Hollywood is casting a western, our coaching staff may want to consider contacting a talent agent. Here's the video in case you haven't seen it:
CLUB & NEZ LOWER BOWL SEATING SAVE THE DATE: JULY 27
On Saturday, July 27 we will host an open house event for fans to check out the new seating areas of Arizona Stadium, the Lowell-Stevens Football Facility club seats and the new north end zone lower bowl. We've been saying you will be blown away with the view, comfort and fan amenities that are associated with these new seating areas. This will be your first chance to see it for yourself. This will not be a facility tour; only the seating areas will be open. We'll have a special event for select Wildcat Club members to see the interior of the new facility. More information will be released soon, but I wanted to make sure you get July 27 on your calendar. Even if you already have season tickets, this will be a good opportunity for people to come inside the stadium and see all the progress that has been made this spring.
WALK WITH THE CATS THIS FALL
The Wildcat Walk has become one the most popular new traditions of Arizona football. It's a thrill for our student-athletes and coaches to walk through swarms of Wildcat fans as they make their way to Arizona Stadium. This summer we want to find one lucky Wildcat fan to feel that excitement. Starting now through July 31 any fan who has a Facebook account can enter a contest to win the chance to walk with Coach Rodriguez and the football team on a select Wildcat Walk at a mutually agreed upon home game. The other two consolation prizes aren't too bad either. The second place prize is the chance to hang out in the radio booth with Brian Jeffries at a home football game this fall and our 3rd place prize is a $100 voucher to the Arizona Bookstore. There's no cost to enter. You just have to be a fan of our Facebook page. To enter this unique contest, click here.
A-CLUB LETTERWINNERS UPDATE
Joe Jensen, men's basketball letterwinner (class of 2006), has been serving and protecting the city of Tucson as a police officer since 2012. Joe graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.A in communication. When we asked Joe what Bear Down meant to him he explained it is a proud creed he applies at work every day: "Bear Down always comes to my mind on the job when things get tough or we find ourselves in dangerous situations". Joe's inspiration to become a police officer came from his experience as a team manager at Arizona. "Placing and protecting others before myself and being in a team atmosphere setting inspired me to be a police officer." Joe continues to be an inspiration to others. We are proud to have you on the streets of Tucson.

WRAPPING UP 2012-13
This will be the last Wildcat Wednesday e-mail for the 2012-13 season. Next week's Wildcat Wednesday will feature our second annual Year in Review video. After that we will take a summer break for the month of July. It's been a phenomenal year for our department. I think you will like next week's video that recaps all of our accomplishments. In the meantime, please enjoy this look back at 2012-13 with a photography sideshow which was put together by our photographer, Luke Adams.
