Alixandra Creek and Michelle Oldham helped guide Arizona to quite possibly its best season in school tennis history. During the 1992-93 season, the duo captured the tennis program’s first national title, teaming up to win the NCAA doubles crown. During the school's first appearance in the final four, they helped the UA beat perennial powerhouse Pepperdine (5-4) and California (5-2). The pair also earned individual accolades as well. Creek, a two time All-Pac 10 and All-America selection wrapped up her career in style as she won the Pac-10 singles title defeating California's Pam Nelson, 6-0, 6-2. Oldham, a transfer from Mississippi State, made an instant impact on the Wildcat tennis team. In addition to the doubles title, Oldham earned ITA All-America honors her first year at Arizona.
