Whitney finished first at the NCAA Championships in the 200 IM with a time of 1:54.89 and set a new school record while finishing second at the NCAA Championships in the 200 fly with a time of 1:53.75. She was also the third leg in the 400 medley relay that set a school record while finishing second at the NCAA Championships. At the Pac-10 Championships, she finished second in the 400 IM with a time of 4:12.35. She set one last record with her first place finish at the Texas Invitational in the 100 fly with a time of 51.55.
