Tim Cummins Earns Pac-12 Honor

TUCSON, Ariz. In a polling of the conference video coordinators, Arizona’s Tim Cummins has been voted the Pac-12 Video Coordinator of the Year, sharing the award with Mike Ortiz of the Pac-12 Conference office. Now in its 16th season, the award is given annually to the conference video coordinator(s) who best demonstrates exemplary performance in the field of team video and surrounding technologies.

Cummins is now a finalist for the prestigious Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year, which will be voted on by a separate panel at the Collegiate Sports Video Association Conference in Houston, Texas. in May. The Bob Matey Award is presented to the video coordinator who displays innovation, determination, perseverance and technical skill as portrayed by the late Bob Matey, legendary Video Coordinator from Texas A&M.

Tim Cummins is in his ninth season with Arizona football and has served as the football video coordinator for seven years, overseeing management of the Arizona football video department. His responsibilities include managing the coaching analysis information network, maintaining hardware and software, overseeing video crews and creating videos for football-related functions and the recruitment process.

Prior to his work with Arizona Athletics, he served as a video production consultant and was a football coach at Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson. Cummins is married to the former
