1980 Baseball Team
Brought Arizona its second national championship (the first was also in baseball in 1976) and the school's first Pacific-10 Conference championship. This Team became famous for never giving up, staging 19 late inning comebacks. Set all-time school record for team stolen bases with 135. Final season record was 45-21-1. Three team members named to All-Conference team, five named to All-Regional team and four named to All-World Series team. Nine members of team signed professional baseball contracts immediately following the end of season.
