     By the time Pam Tyron enrolled at the U of A she was already a force to be reckoned with in the world of synchronized swimming. As a member of the Santa Clara, California Aquamaids- a powerhouse in the sports, she was a five time AAU All-American. Pam would later be named AIAW All-American three times while at the U of A. A master of vertical figures and sculling, Pam won the intercollegiate national championship for synchronized swimming in solo competition in 1979, 1980, and 1981. Pam was also a member of the USA Synchronized Swimming team. She placed second in solo competition and third with partner Michelle Beaulieu at World Aquatic Games in Berlin in 1978. She also competed in the Pan American Games in 1979 with a USA team that won the gold medal for team competition that year.
