Rich Rodriguez Radio Show Set for Wednesday

TUCSON, Ariz. The Rich Rodriguez Radio Show, presented by Crest Insurance, continues Wednesday, September 24, 7-8 p.m. This year’s show will have a new home at Champs! Sports Bar and Grill (previously Social House, southeast corner of 6th St. and Campbell).

Against California on Saturday night, Arizona overcame a 22-point halftime deficit (28-6) to win 49-45. It is the largest deficit over- come to win a game in school history, topping three previous occasions of 21-point deficits. Arizona’s 36 fourth-quarter points are the most in any quarter in program history.

Saturday’s victory was No. 140 in Rodriguez’s head coaching career and No. 20 at Arizona. The Wildcats moved to 4-0 for the first time in his tenure and 1-0 in Pac-12 play. UA is now 20-10 under Rodriguez in 3+ seasons.

Redshirt sophomore receiver Cayleb Jones was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, Earl Campbell Award Honorable Mention and College Football Performance Awards Honorable Mention.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Anu Solomon set single-game school records for passing yards, attempts and completions. He was named Athlon Sports Pac-12 Player of the Week, Manning Award Star of the Week and Davey O’Brien Quarterback of the Week Honorable Mention.

Redshirt senior Austin Hill caught the game-winning #HillMary touchdown as time expired against the Golden Bears. He’s been featured on ESPN.com, ESPNU and by national media members throughout the week.

Sophomore linebacker Scooby Wright finished with a career-high 18 tackles, the most for a Wildcat in a single game since linebacker Marcus Bell had 20 at ASU on Nov. 27, 1999. The 18 stops matches the most for an FBS player in a game this year. Wright’s 4.0 tackles for loss were most since Spencer Larsen had 4.5 at USC on Oct. 13, 2007.

At each week's radio show, fans will have a chance to win game tickets and an autographed football with the opportunity to ask Coach Rodriguez questions in person and via Twitter @ArizonaFBall using #CoachRodRadio.

Fans can attend in person at Champs! (6th and Campbell) or listen live in Tucson on KCUB 1290 AM and in Phoenix on Fox Sports 910 AM. The broadcast will also air live on TuneIn (http://tunein.com/radio/Arizona-IMG-Sports-Network-s206504/).
