FUTURE SPIRIT OF ARIZONA WEEKEND 2026

We can’t wait to welcome high school and college students to Tucson for Future Spirit of Arizona Weekend, a 3-day cheer clinic where you’ll experience all aspects of University of Arizona Cheer alongside our current team members. All participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice partner stunts in our coed-focused clinic! This clinic is highly recommended for those that want to try out for Arizona Cheerleading.

 

Cost & What’s Included: 
$135 per participant (includes clinic sessions, t-shirt, game ticket). Additional game tickets and t-shirts for family/friends are $15 each. All payments are non-refundable. Male bases — Free of charge: While your participant ticket and t-shirt are covered, any additional tickets or t-shirts for family or guests must be purchased at $15 each:

Space is limited and priority registration may be given to:
  • Applicants who best align with Arizona’s current program needs (click here for last year's tryout packet with skills requirements)
  • Athletes who have attended a previous Arizona Cheer clinic
  • Current college students and high school seniors (preparing for spring tryouts)
  • Male Bases (no prior cheer experience required)
  • A few spots may also be offered to athletes showing strong potential, even if not all skills requirements are met

  • Registration Closes: 5:00 PM, December 31
  • After Dec 31, Coach will select participants, and send waivers via Adobe Sign (requires parent signature if under 18 years old)
    • Waivers sent Jan 1 must be signed by Jan 4 to secure spot (1st round of invitations)
    • Any unsigned waivers after Jan 4 will be canceled and the spot will be offered to the next participant. 
    • Waivers sent Jan 8 must be signed by Jan 11 to secure spot (2nd/Final round of invitations)

  • Hands-on instruction in coed partner stunts, Arizona's gameday style, and Musical Freestyle (tumbling will not be instructed, but participants can demonstrate the skills they already have).
  • What to Bring/Wear: Water bottle, T-shirt, sports bra, spandex with shorts, Arizona colors or neutral preferred, hair pulled back half-up or ponytail with bow (NO crop tops, spandex shorts only or sports bras only).
  • A student first responder will be on site to provide water, ice, and taping as needed.
Sunday, February 1 – College Gameday Experience & Halftime Performance
Attend team's warm-up and halftime performance at Women’s Basketball vs. Oklahoma State (Includes t-shirt and game ticket)

FALL CHEER CLINIC 2025

Placement on the waitlist does not guarantee a spot. Those on the waitlist will be notified by email no later than October 10th if a spot becomes available.


Clinic Information:
Join the Arizona Cheerleaders and Coaching Staff for our Fall Clinic on October 26! This clinic offers a low-stress opportunity to meet the team, learn from current members, and hear about student-athlete benefits such as team travel, Nike gear, and more. Open to current college students and current high school juniors & seniors.

What to Expect at the Clinic:
  • All instruction led by the University of Arizona Cheerleaders & Coaching Staff. 
  • Focus areas: Coed partner stunts, Arizona's "gameday" style & Musical Freestyle. Stunt rotations provide the chance to work on coed skills with the Arizona Cheerleaders.
  • Tumbling not instructed, but participants will have the opportunity to showcase clean, consistent skills without a spot
  • Attending a clinic is not required to try out for the 26-27 team in the spring, but participation is highly recommended.

As of 5:00 PM on August 6th: Cheer Fest has reached FULL CAPACITY and we are no longer accepting participant registrations. 

Calling all future Wildcats! Youth cheerleaders ages 5+ are invited to take part in an exciting instructional clinic led by the Arizona Cheerleaders and Coaching Staff. Participants will learn a full cheer routine—no prior experience necessary! All instruction will be provided at the clinic to fully prepare your cheerleader to perform in front of the crowd at a home Arizona Football game. Don’t miss this unforgettable opportunity to shine on the field and cheer alongside the Arizona Cheerleaders.

Coaches wishing to register/pay for their team(s):
All teams must register and pay through Fevo. Team fees cannot be waived or deferred. No promo codes are available.  Follow the standard registration process outlined below. On the Fevo order form, include the following information for each participant (Cheerleader or Coach):
  • First name
  • Last name
  • T-shirt size
  • Email address (for participant waiver)
 
Cheer Fest Fees
Registration fee includes the participant's clinic, football game ticket, and white Cheer Fest t-shirt required for on-field access.

This event typically sells out each year, and registration will close once maximum capacity is reached—even if that occurs before the August 10 deadline.

Sunday, August 17th: Cheer Fest Clinic and Choreography Instruction

Choreography will be emailed in advance so registered participants can review the halftime routine prior to the clinic.
 
Saturday, August 30th: Gameday Morning Practice and Football Halftime Performance
Morning Practice Time:  7:30 AM
Kick-Off Time:  7:30 PM Arizona vs. Hawai’i
Location:  Arizona Football Stadium, 1 National Championship Drive
Required Game Attire:  White Cheer Fest t-shirt, your choice athletic shorts and shoes
  • Game tickets purchased through our Cheer Fest Fevo link will be automatically seated in Section 17.  If/ when Section 17 sells out, the Ticket Office will assign Cheer Fest the next best available section.
  • If you need Disability Access and ADA stadium, there is a limited inventory of tickets that must be purchased directly with the Ticket Office 520-621-2287. 

University Policy: Adult Supervision Requirement for Teams and Individual Performers
To ensure the safety and supervision of all children, youth participants (Team or Individual Performer) are REQUIRED to be accompanied by a Registered Coach or Adult Chaperone (18+) to the clinic, on gameday, and on/off field for the halftime performance. Teams must provide enough registered coaches/adults to meet the University Policy for Adult to Child Supervision Ratios:
  • 5 years old: 1 adult/coach for every 6 cheerleaders (1:6)
  • 6-8 years old: 1 adult/coach for every 8 cheerleaders (1:8)
  • 9-14 years old: 1 adult/coach for every 10 cheerleaders (1:10)
  • 15-18 years old: 1 adult/coach for every 12 cheerleaders (1:12)
  • If your child is participating as an Individual Performer not on a team, an adult chaperone/parent must register and accompany the child to all Cheer Fest events, on gameday, and on/off field for the halftime performance.
  • If your child is participating with a Team, the team must provide enough registered coaches/adults to meet the University Policy for Adult to Child Supervision Ratios.

UA CHEER TRYOUT PREP CLINIC - SPRING 2025

REGISTRATION CLOSES 5:00 PM ON THURSDAY, APRIL 10, 2025 UNLESS CLINIC REACHES MAXIMUM CAPACITY BEFORE THE DATE.

Time:  Participant Check-In 5:00-5:30 PM;  Clinic 5:30 PM-8:00 PM
A finalized clinic schedule will be emailed the week of the clinic. 

What is the Tryout Prep Clinic?
This clinic is open exclusively to 'tryout eligible' students (see definition below) interested in trying out for the 2025-2026 Arizona Cheerleading Team. Participants will have the opportunity to practice tumbling and co-ed stunting with other potential team members in preparation for cheer tryouts. It it NOT required to attend this clinic to try out.

Who is a 'tryout eligible' student?
Current UA student (or) college transfer or high school student that has been officially accepted to The University of Arizona for the 2025-2026 academic year. To participate, you must upload verification of being a 'tryout eligible' student (see below).


How do I register?
1. Submit the
Registration Google Form
2. Submit Verification of Enrollment or Acceptance to UA (upload your document directly on the Registration Google Form)
3. Electronically sign the UA Assumption of Risk & Release Waiver (once Coach Vanessa receives your Registration Form, she will email the waiver via Adobe Sign)
4. Make payment for the $40.00 clinic fee at the door at Clinic Check-In on April 11 (Male bases are FREE)

Verification Document - Option 1 or 2:
  1. Current UA students:  UA Enrollment Verification (view in UACCESS > Academic Record tab)
  2. College Transfer (or) HS Seniors:  UA Acceptance Letter for Fall 2025
What is the cost of the clinic and how can I make payment?
$40.00 payment must be made at the door of Clinic Check-In on April 11. Male bases are FREE. Acceptable forms of payment are credit card or exact amount of cash.

What do I bring and what do I wear to the clinic?
  • Water, light snacks (money for lunch if you wish to eat on campus)
  • Athletic attire and athletic shoes. Please do NOT wear just spandex shorts or just a sports bra- shorts and t-shirt are required. Hair pulled back and ready to work!
