ArizonaWildcats.com sat down with senior free safety Jamar Allah to see what life would be like living a day in his shoes.
Q: What is your major/minor?
A: My Major is General Studies.
Q: Describe your typical daily routine.
A: I wake up in the morning with my eyes half closed and I look at myself in the mirror and say, “It’s cold”. Then I eat breakfast and go to class followed by treatment, meetings, and practice.
Q: How has being a student-athlete helped you manage your time in everyday life?
A: It has definitely helped me manage my time and keep my priorities straight. When you play a sport and go to school there are so many different things that you juggle on a daily basis so learning how to be on time to everything has helped me a lot now and in my future.
Q: What is the most valuable lesson you have learned during the past four years at the U of A?
A: Learning how to manage my money.
Q: What is your favorite class?
A: My favorite class was PA 206, which was Public Policy and Administration. For the final project we were able to design our own constitution.
Q: What is your least favorite class?
A: My least favorite was Environmental Ethics
Q: What is your class schedule during the week?
A: I have sign language Monday-Thursday at 1:00 and on Tuesday and Thursday I have my first leadership class 8:00-9:30 am and then another leadership class from 11:00-12:15 pm. I don’t have class on Fridays.
Q: What is your favorite food to have for breakfast?
A: I like to have steak tips for breakfast.
Q: In your opinion, what is the most important thing about having the title of “student-athlete”?
A: For me, it is knowing that your school work comes first and then you play. Also, being able to represent your university is an honor.
Q: Where is the best place for you to get your school work done?
A: I like to get my homework done at home in my room.
Q: What do you like to do in your time off?
A: I like to sleep, play Madden, and watch film. I also take that time to hang out with my family.
Q: What is your pump up song on gameday?
A: “Down in the DM” by Yo Gotti
Q: What is your number one goal for your senior year?
A: To graduate and earn my degree.
Q: If you could tell the fans one thing, what would it be?
A: Bear Down
Q: What is your favorite memory from the day?
A: My favorite memory from today was during individual at practice when I tackled coach Lockwood.
