Tarah Dahl
Tarah Dahl earned her Bachelor of Science in Physiology degree from the University of Arizona. She continued her education in the Teach Arizona Graduate Program where she earned her Master of Education degree in Teaching and Teacher Education.
Ms. Dahl is the advanced placement Biology teacher at Mountain View High School. Whether it’s a pep assembly, field trip, or lab activity, Tarah has a systematic plan to guide her students towards success. Her detailed planning of her unique classroom environment is creative, innovative, and engages students to process content in a meaningful way. Some days she’s using candy to build chemical compounds, or skillfully crafted rubrics to guide students as they write a lab report, other days she is explaining cellular communication through interpretive dance. No matter what the task at hand, Ms. Dahl makes the learning extremely enjoyable while modeling an enthusiasm for learning.
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Dahl’s devotion to students and her profession is evident in her leadership role in curricular and extra-curricular activities. She coaches multiple sports, volunteers her musical talents for service events, and has been the advisor for a multitude of clubs including revamping the Student Council program. Her inspiring and joyous nature has been transformational for the student body and school culture.
