Ashley Dickey
Ashley Dickey earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Athletic Training from the University of Northern Iowa. She continued her education at A.T. Still University where she received her Master of Science in Athletic Training degree.
Ms. Dickey is the Sports Medicine teacher and Athletic Trainer at Marana High School. Referred to as a gifted educator who leads by example, Ashley goes the extra mile for her students on a consistent basis. She is committed to offering the most well rounded curriculum and real life athletic training to help students gain knowledge as well as confidence. Ms. Dickey models a passion for her subject area which inspires students to discover their career dreams. When entering her classroom it is common to see students learning how to respond in a crisis, diagnose medical emergencies, and how to medically care for athletes. Athletic Trainers are provided additional real-world learning opportunities by providing care for athletes at sporting events.
As the Lead of the MedStart Career Academy, Ashley facilitates meetings and inspires the team through organizing events and guest speakers. She is also the HOSA Sport Medicine Advisor, the PROM sponsor, and is active in several other student organizations. Ms. Dickey’s endless energy and passion extends to the greater community where she annually volunteers for several fundraising events.
