Tammy Case
At the time Tammy left the software industry in 2005, she had already completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Management and a Master of Organizational Management degree. She went on to complete her Master of Education degree and has taught Technology Applications, Entrepreneurship, Web Design, Business Publications, Sophomore and Junior English, Journalism, Student Council, Future Business Leaders of America Adviser, and Yearbook.
Tammy is very involved in extracurricular athletics. She has supported a multi-state baseball tournament held at Santa Rita High School to honor a former head coach. This tournament started as four teams and grew to sixteen teams this last year. The teams travel from New Mexico, Texas, and Southern Arizona to participate. She has organized Hosted a boys’ golf tournament that has now reached twenty teams.
Tammy has created a unit that lasts for a full three weeks and is based off of the Survivor reality series. She uses it in all of her business and English classes. Students are broken up into teams and participate in daily challenges while watching the Survivor series throughout the week. They respond in their journal every day to prompts that ask the students to analyze teambuilding, leadership, conflict resolution, character development, critical thinking skills, core subject review, and individual class review.
