FORT WORTH, TEXAS -- Arizona women's gymnastics' Lexi Mills will compete in Fort Worth, Texas at the NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships. Mills will compete for the individual balance beam title on Friday, April 15 at 11 a.m. MST. She will compete in the third rotation with LSU.
Mills qualified for the NCAA Championships two weeks ago at the Athens Regional after tying for first place on beam with Oregon State's Risa Perez. The two earned scores of 9.90 at the meet.
The senior is Arizona's first national bid since 2012, when Aubree Cristello advanced as an all-around competitor and Katie Matusik advanced on the balance beam.
Mills holds a career high 9.95 on the balance beam which she scored in 2015 at Texas Woman's University. This season, she received scores above 9.80 in nine out of twelve meets. Her 9.90 in Athens is her season high.
The entire NCAA Championships will be streamed live through ESPN. Each individual apparatus will be able to be viewed online.
