University of Arizona Athletics

     Ms. Daniel earned a BS in Elementary and Special Education from Northern Arizona University.  Ms. Daniel teaches self-contained special education at Amphitheater High School. The students in her classes range in age from 14-22 years old. She makes learning easier and more fun by incorporating Community Based Instruction (CBI) and hands on learning activities that are functional and directly applicable to life outside of high school. Her classes are set up to build student confidence by providing opportunities for her kids that enhance their skill set. Those skills are then transferred into practice in real settings out in the community where the learning is relevant. Ms. Daniel considers herself to be an advocate for rescue animals and supports local shelters by volunteering her time to those shelters. She and her dog (Lily) are a certified therapy team and they go out into the community to visit with people. She helped raise $4000 worth of supplies and food for Pima Animal Care Center for the holidays. She volunteers her time at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.
