University of Arizona Athletics

 Ms. Chris Allen has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from The University of Arizona with a major in English. She received a Master of Science Degree in Instructional Leadership in Curriculum/Instruction.
 
Ms. Allen is an English teacher and the English department chairperson at Sabino High School. She teaches 11^th grade Advanced Placement English Language and 12^th grade Advanced Placement English Literature. She was recognized as the TUSD High School Teacher of the Year for 2016. Her ability to engage students in her lessons create an atmosphere where students are challenged to excel and do their best.
 
Chris has an extensive commitment to community involvement in her classroom as well as her personal life. As the co-sponsor of the Sabino chapter of the National Honor Society, she and her students participate in several annual events. Some of those events are: Arizona Humane Society Sweat for Pets fundraiser, countless hours of volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House, and the Teachers vs. Student’s volleyball game that benefits the Wounded Warrior Project. She also is very involved in the Southern Arizona Greyhound Rescue Organization.
