Daniel Schneider
100034

Mr. Daniel Schneider earned a BS in Mathematics Education & Computer Science from the University of Arizona.

Mr. Schneider joined Amphitheater High School as a math interventionist. His passion, energy, ability to problem solve and design effective programs led to the development of a dynamic intervention program that built foundational math skills, allowed credit recovery for high school dropouts, and skill development for refugee students. He now teaches computer science and prepares his students to be the next leaders and innovators in STEM fields through unique experiences such as designing, building, and racing a solar-powered Go-Cart through the UA’s “Race the Sun” event.

Mr. Schneider is a tireless advocate for Amphitheater’s refugee population and is dedicated to meeting the special needs of these students who have limited language and mathematical ability. He has successfully secured grant funding from the Amphi Foundation, St. Jude’s Hospital, and the Rockefeller Foundation. He constantly strives to connect his students with people in the community who can give them a glimpse into a career or education pathway that may have seemed unattainable. He is the founder and sponsor of the Girl Power STEM club and the Future Business Leaders of America at Amphitheater High School.
