2019 Women's Basketball NIT Tournament Central

THE TOURNAMENT

Arizona Women's Basketball has finished a stellar season and is ready to HOST the opening rounds of the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT). The WNIT is an annual tournament involving 64 of the nation's top women's Division I basketball teams. All games, including the semifinals and championship, are hosted by the higher seed of participating schools. Every round is single elimination.

Competition began March 20 for the first round. The Championship game will be televised on CBS Sports Network on April 6 at noon MST. Please scroll down for more key dates throughout the tournament. Follow along with the bracket here. .

TICKET INFORMATION

WNIT Tournament tickets are available here! Tickets start at just $10 for general admission during the semifinals and finals of the tournament. You can also purchase tickets beginning by calling the ticket office at (520) 621-CATS.

KEY DATES

The 64-team field will be announced late Monday evening, March 18, 2019. The WNIT committee uses three stages in this order to implement the final bracket: 1) Select teams; 2) Group teams according to team strength; and 3) Bracket the selected teams. The first round will kick off Wednesday, March 20, with the event culminating on Saturday, April 6 with the championship.

  • Selection Show - March 18

  • Round 2 - March 23-26
  • Round 3 - March 27-29
  • Round 4 - March 30-31
  • Semifinals - April 3-4
  • Championship - Saturday, April 6, 12 p.m. MST

  • Weekend Games:
    • Surface lots and all meters: FREE
    • Cherry Garage: FREE
  • Weekday Evening Games:
    • Surface lots and all meters: FREE after 5pm
    • Cherry Garage:
      • $1/hour after 5pm | $2/hour before 5pm
      • Max of $5 after 5pm | max of $8 before 5pm
      • Event parking: $5 when parking attendant is present
  • Weekday Morning Games:
    • Surface lots: permit specific (not open to public until after 5pm)
    • Meters: charge per hour
    • Cherry Garage
      • $2/hour
      • Max of $8
      • Event parking: $5 when parking attendant is present
