Native-American Heritage Month Celebration
Arizona Athletics is proud to celebrate Native American Heritage Month with many festivities taking place surrounding a home women's basketball game at the University of Arizona. As fans enter the McKale Center they are greeted at the entry way with walls lined with the flags from active tribes in Arizona and informational materials about the tribes distributed to fans. Through the years, the day's festivities have also included both pre-game and halftime performances by Native American campus groups, the singing of the National Anthem in the O'odham language, and a reception for the performing groups.
